| Mirror Lake is only open in the summer. It is a popular fishing and recreation area. The elevation here is 10,050 feet. It was good practice for me to get acclimated to the elevation. |

| Antelope Island was discovered by John C. Fremont and Kit Carson in 1845, during exploration of the Great Salt Lake. They shot a Pronghorn Antelope on the island and in gratitude for the meat they named it Antelope Island. |
